maeve barton



maeve barton is a genderfluid transmasc performer, choreographer, and filmmaker currently living on planet earth. Since graduating from Cornish College of the Arts through the school’s Advanced Degree Program, they have continued exploring dance through collaboration, research, and experimentation. Their choreographic work has been shown at venues such as Base: Experimental Arts + Space, Velocity Dance Center, Vashon Center for the Arts, and Studio Current. Their 2019 film they tower above has been selected for six film festivals in the past year, receiving awards at rolling ideas and Cornish Screendance Festival. Other directing credits of maeve's include fidalgo street end, silenus (in collaboration with Hannah Rice), choreographing for Butterflies, a music video for the band New Love Syntax, and more. maeve plans to continue work in the field of performance and film, leaning to the edges of what defines these words, and above all, continue learning in community with others.
